We don't train image generators on your work. We never will.

ArtScope is a display tool. A gallery uploads your piece so visitors can see the title, the story and the price on their phone. That's the whole product.

Not an artist? For galleries · For museums & nonprofits

The short version

Three things, plainly.

Your images aren't training data

There is a neural network, and it does one narrow, boring job: telling one piece of art apart from another so a collection sorts itself. It belongs to the gallery showing your work and it only ever sees that gallery's own pieces. It doesn't generate images, and it never will.

We don't pick the work

We have no say in who gets in. Selection is the gallery's, entirely — we're the software they use afterward to put your work on a wall people can read.

We don't sell your work or your data

Not to a licensor, not to a dataset, not to anyone.

How we make money

One way, and it's the whole answer.

We make money exactly one way: 5% when a piece sells. That means the only thing we have any incentive to do is help your work sell in the room it's hanging in.

Before you ask

The questions artists actually ask.

Can I apply to an open call without an account?

Yes. You apply on the call's own page with your images and the details the gallery asks for. There is no account to create and no sign-in, and your submission goes to the gallery running the call.

Who can see my work?

Visitors to the show it's in. A gallery's exhibit is reached by a code or a link at the door, not by an open directory anyone can browse.

What happens to my images when the show ends?

They stay with the gallery's account while it's open, and are removed 90 days after it closes. If you want them gone sooner, ask the gallery — it's their exhibit — or email us and we'll handle it.

Do you contact me?

Only if you gave us your address yourself, through an open call or by asking us something. We don't add artists to a mailing list because a gallery uploaded their work.

I submitted through an open call — who has my address?

The gallery running the call. That's who you applied to, and that's who reads it. The submission is kept while their account is open and removed 90 days after it closes.

How do I get my work removed?

Ask the gallery showing it, or email privacy@artscope.io and we'll tell you what we hold, send you a copy, or delete it — acknowledged within seven days, answered within thirty. The detail is in our privacy policy.

Something here you'd want written differently?

Tell us — we read it. This page exists because artists asked, and it changes when they tell us it's wrong.

Or go and look at what's open: browse open calls.

We don't sell your information. We'll reply once — nothing else unless you ask. We use what you send here to answer you; see our Privacy Policy.
